Anchor

Steadying Blend: As it indicates this blend is designed to ground, settle into place. Enhances connection , harmony and innate wisdom.

  • Promotes feelings of completeness, calmness, and courage.
  • Encourages a steady foundational sense form which to move forward.

Lavender, Frankicense and Cedarwood are the primary oils in the blend. Also Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Patchouli and Sandalwood are in smaller dosages. With a base of fractionated coconut, hence partially pre-dilluted.

Similar notes to: Lavender Peace and Console. Anchor would be a suitable blend to assist with sleep and soothe in separation anxiousness. Uses:

  • Apply to ankles, base of spine, and bottoms of feet to promote feelings of completeness and calmness.
  • Enjoy the aromatic benefits of Anchor whenever you are feeling scattered or uprooted.

Yoga poses: Seated meditation, Seated Twist, Bhu Mudra (one hand on the heart, the other on the Earth).

Pilates moves: Roll Down. Foundations: Pelvic tilts, clocks, leg slides, pelvic curl, single leg extensions, chest lift, pendulum, leg circles.

Rich, spicy earthy tones.

Love the inhale and placement on the body to bring in a deeper sense of connection to mind and body. “Anchor” I pop on my wrists and breathe in as I walk to class, then apply to inside arch of foot 🦶 and inhale as I settle in for resting pose before class starts.

Affirm (Align)

Centering Blend: Trust in yourself, build belief in your own ability. You are enough. Tapping into your mind body awareness, opening your heart to your own possibilities. Enhance.

  • Promotes feelings of self-acceptance, trust, and fluidity.
  • Encourages harmony and calm progress

Featuring Bergamot, Coriander, Marjoram, Peppermint, Jasmine absolute, and Rose essential oils in a base of Fractionated Coconut Oil.

Similar to Aromatouch and Motivate. Ideal to up mental clarity and moving into action.

Apply to heart, base of skull, back of neck and temples.

Yoga poses: Warrior 2, Triangle, Warrior 3, Airplane pose.

Bringing together Grapefruit, Lemon, Osmanthus, Melissa, and Siberian Fir in a base of Fractionated Coconut Oil, doTERRA. Ascend, Arise inspires moments of reaching for your highest potential. 

Beautiful and Elevation are other blends noted to be similar to Ascend.

Yoga poses: Standing with arms high, Standing side stretch, and Half Moon. Sun Saluation Flow: Mountain Pose, Forward Fold, Crescent Lunge, Plank, Chaturanga, Up Dog, Down Dog, Crescent Lunge, Forward Fold, Mountain Pose.

Trainers tips for Weight Loss

Letting you in on a little secret that has helped me help hundreds of clients drop dress sizes, some over 50kg – that is a whole person!

Many loose 6kg in 6 weeks. 20+cm off the belly. Ultimately as a Trainer the majority of people I see want to loose weight. Anyone who has trained with me, knows that I could care less about what the scale says, your shape, size, age or ability.

My goal is to help get your metabolism moving, and there are a series of things I know you can do naturally to kickstart this, then we work on building muscles, and then that is when the magic starts to happen. Effective tips to help relieve back pain through stretches and essential oil rubs

Do you suffer from Back Pain?

Almost everyone has at some point or has an ongoing issue.  Todays sedentary lifestyle, high comms, seating hunched over an iphone scrolling the internet for hours is no good for our backs.

Hopefully that has got your attention to roll your shoulders back and down, sit up straight, engage your core muscles have your shoulders over your hips and try to give distance between your ribs and hips, neck and ribs.

Walking and sitting with good posture is definitely going to go a long way.  However  you may have suffered an injury or been in an accident like myself.  I spent years in and out of physio and pilates.  Trained my core up and that is really the only thing that has kept me from constant aches and pains.

Being more active and insuring you stay limber, keep mobile, and try to gently move so you don’t start to cause blockages and referred pain…. yes I have been there.  Lower back pain then pops up in the upper back.  Here are some basic moves I first learnt from my physio and then through in depth Pilates training.  As well as some Essential Oils that have provided immense pain relief on numerous occasions.

From sprained ankles to help cool and bring down the inflammation, ice blue rub was a god send to me the night the chiropractor allowed me to take it home.  Much better than crawling to the fridge to re-ice my ankle in the middle of the night.

Please do seek professional medical assistance early as that can make a big difference before long term damage does set in.  I hope you find these tips helpful.

Mater Little Miracles 5km

On Sunday 28 April 2012 we enjoyed a lovely morning out for a great cause Mater Little Miracles 5km inaugural event at Capalaba Recreation Reserve.  Was wonderful to be involved with a fun event, Bliss Active was requested to do the warm up for the crowd of 500+.   It was tops for the family with many super stars including Dora, Wonder Women & Green Lantern giving out high 5s.  We’ll be putting together another team for the June 2 event at Southbank & everyone is most welcome to join us.  Simply Email: info@blissactive.com.au

Triathalon Fun

Done & dusted completed first Triathlon on Saturday 4 May on the Gold Coast.  In a relay style fashion, you have 3 team members with each completing a 400m swim, 10km bike ride and 4km run.  Truly a fun and encouraging way to take on a tri as your team mates are there cheering for you along the way. Highly recommend to get involved with the Bliss Active team next year, we will definitely be backing it up.  Look out for post at www.facebook.com/BlissActive early in the New Year as we get set for it again.

Bliss Active was honoured to be invited by The Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland, aka “The Ekka”, the Brisbane Show, to be a part of the fashion stage this year. As well as fashion, hair and makeup workshops, the Ekka is also incorporating other women’s activities and interests. Bliss Active is the sole health and fitness provider that will be on stage prior to the Fashion Parades performing Bubby Pilates, Baby Bootcamp & providing general fitness & well being tips. Family Fit Day – Ginger Sport Soccer & Bubby Pilates

Soccer fun for lil ones (2years plus) & Pilates workout for Mums whilst babies sleep or have fun on rugs alongside. Mums can watch their little ones playing soccer whilst getting in a Pilates workout. At the end there is a special parachute play. Everyone welcome.

Bliss Pilates TV fame = classes booked out

2012 certainly started off with a bigger bang then expected.  We were thrilled to be televised on air with our Bubby Pilates featuring on the Great South East on the 1st & 7th of January 2012 as fun things to do with baby in Brisbane.  Bubby Pilates is very unique as it is Mum & Baby Exercise, aimed to help Mums get back in shape post baby, loose the baby weight and tone up through a complete Pilates workout.   At the end of Bubby Pilates we have a dedicated baby movement and play session which is great for brain development, bonding and socialisation.  It is difficult to find a Mum & Baby Exercise class that incoporates an effective workout for Mum  as well as a dedicated baby movement session.

The unexpected television publicity along with many members friends joining us has seen our classes running at capacity.  To ensure that everyone receives the attention they deserve additional classes are being added as we are sticking to our 12 members per class maximum.  The first additional class is on Thursday at 9:30am.  Be sure to call or email: info@blisspilates.com to book in for a trial class before this class is also filled.  This week we have also added a Monday 9:30am class with Childcare and a few places remain in this class also.  Everyone is welcome including beginners, pregnancy, postnatal Mums.  A number of levels are provided so everyone can be challenged within their own level.

Industrie 1 has a special minis dance class running simultaneously, 9:30am – 10am. This class is for 2/3 year olds. It is the beginning step into the dance world! This class covers rhythm, coordination, enjoyment of dance and movement, special awareness, confidence and social interaction.

We like to ensure you & your little ones well being, and makeup classes are available in each block, so a 10 class pass is valid for 3 months.

TV Scoop – Bubby Pilates featured on Great South East

Thrilled to be televised on the Great South East as one of the fun things to do with baby in Brisbane on January 1 and January 7, 2012.  Bliss Active founded Bubby Pilates for Mums that wanted a full workout for themselves whilst including their babies.  It is a very unique class that aims to help Mums loose weight, tone and strengthen with baby playing alongside.  At the end of the session baby is incorporated with their own special movement time, with baby sign, parachute play and movements to rhymes.  Mum and baby love this session that is great for networking and socialising as well.
